Last updated: October 19, 2026
Draft pending review. Bema is not yet a registered organisation and some details of the controller are still to be completed (highlighted in yellow). We will review these texts with legal advice before the final launch.
1. Website owner
In accordance with Article 10 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSI-CE), these are the details of the owner of this website:
- Owner: [pending]
- Tax ID (NIF): [pending]
- Address: [pending]
- Email: info@bema.cat
- Website: bema.cat
Bema is a civic project in pilot phase, driven by a founding team that has not yet been registered as a legal entity. When the organisation that will run it is set up, we will update these details.
2. Purpose
This website offers a civic participation platform where registered users can publish diagnoses and proposals about their town and support them. Use of the platform is governed by the terms of use, and the processing of personal data by the privacy policy.
Access to the public pages is free. To take part you need an account.
3. Intellectual and industrial property
The platform’s source code is distributed under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 (AGPL-3.0). The name “Bema”, the logo and the website design may not be used in a way that suggests another person or organisation is Bema or is linked to it.
The historical photographs come mostly from Wikimedia Commons and are used under their licences. Content published by users belongs to them, on the terms set out in the terms of use.
4. Responsibility for content
Diagnoses and proposals express the views of the people who publish them, not those of the owner. When we become aware that content is unlawful or infringes the rights of others, we will remove it promptly, as required by Article 16 of the LSSI-CE. You can let us know at info@bema.cat.
The website may link to external pages. We do not control their content and are not responsible for it.
The service is provided as a pilot: it may have bugs, change or be temporarily interrupted. We work to keep it running well, but we cannot guarantee continuous availability.
5. Applicable law
This legal notice is governed by Spanish law. Any dispute will be submitted to the courts that are competent under the applicable rules and, if the user is a consumer, to those of their place of residence.
